80cm x 110cm Dan Wong Is National Service indentured servitude or a necessary obligation? The dissenting answers can be found both within Singaporean society and the individual Singaporean’s mind. An amalgation of close to ten years of the artist’s experiences in National Service, this painting contains anecdotes, references and allegories pertaining to the army.
